I am currently a visiting postdoc at the Laboratoire d’Écologie Alpine. My research focuses on communication and interaction process across different social contexts in anurans. In my current project, I analyze how vocalizations primarily used in reproductive communication mediate intrasexual male–male interactions.
I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, co-supervised by Camille Desjonqueres. My research focuses on the impact of human activities on bird communities in remote places using long-term acoustic recordings. This work requested me to investigate how an automatic bird recognition algorithm, i.e. BirdNET, returns trustworthy results in order to use it more consistently. This work is coupled with other software for automatic detection of human activities in order to study co-occurrence patterns across landscapes. In the end, this community analysis aims to better inform decision-makers on the anthropic impact on other species.
